The TKI Mega 360 ice pole kit is a new addition to the TKI line up. The kit allows you to place the 360 into the ice hole and gives it a great base for sturdy operation.
The kit includes a TKI tripod, a 1 ¼ tube that will slide over the 360 pole. The tube is to create a spacer on the fiberglass pole for the tripod and to prevent damage to the fiberglass 360 shaft, the tube is 24 inches long. A piece of shrink tube is included with the kit, the shrink tube is placed on the bottom of the supplied tube to hold it in place while the mega 360 is in use or in transit. Removal of the kit is easy, use a razor blade to cut the shrink tube off and the system can be removed.
We recommend keeping ice thickness in mind when setting the aluminum spacer tube. Place the top of the tube at the thickest ice depth you might see in a season. This will give you almost 2 ft of adjustment, so you can shallow up the transducer for thinner ice.
The TKI tripod is aluminum construction, all materials are 100% made in the USA. The tripod was designed to be used with a 1 ¼ tube. The TKI tripod has a plastic bushing for smooth operation and a no stick fit even on the coldest days. The feet of the TKI tripod have a sharper point on them to make sure it grips the ice so it will not twist as your moving the pole.
Storing the tripod is easy, fold the legs parallel with the tube and the plastic friction washers will keep the legs in the desired position. If the legs get loose you can easily adjust the tension with an allen wrench.
The height of the tripod can be adjusted with a 1/8 allen wrench, this allows the pole to be used in thin ice to over 40 inches of ice.
The kit includes an assembled tripod hub, plastic bushing, 3 legs, 2 locking collars for height adjustment and a plastic washer for the underside of the tripod.
All parts are proudly made in Montana with only USA materials.
